Race variant is a subspecies of human who have higher affinity with essence(s). Certain variant has distinct physical appearance while some are indistinguishable from the rest of their kind.

Variants are heritable. The child are more likely to take upon their mother’s variant. In rare occasion one can be born with it even if the parents don’t posses that variant. As of why this happen is still unknown. Half-kind is not possible.

Fun Fact

There was once a proposal to add the term “Adapt” for variant, e.g., Celestine Adapt. It got turned down by the majority as it too similar to the term “Adept”.
